A Lehighton man has been charged with threatening to kill a woman if she didn’t have sex with him.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by officer Matthew Bender of the Lehighton Borough Police Department in the case against Henry Tomasko III:
On Monday Bender was dispatched to a home in the 300 block of Cypress Street for a domestic where the man, Tomasko, 45, had a knife and was threatening to harm himself.
Tomasko was leaning on the dresser and had self-inflicted cuts on his stomach.
EMS was notified and Tomasko was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
A woman told officers that Tomasko approached her and placed his hands around her throat and began to choke her, threatened her to have sex with him or he would kill her if she did not comply.
She said Tomasko then attempted to have intercourse with her.
Tomasko faces charges of indecent assault; strangulation; terroristic threats; and simple assault.
He is incarcerated in the Carbon County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 monetary bail. Charges were waived for court on Wednesday.
