A woman was seriously injured Saturday afternoon in a crash in Rush Township.
The crash occurred just after 2 p.m. in the intersection of Route 309 and Ben Titus road. The accident involved a car operated by the woman and a pickup truck operated by a male driver who was not injured in the incident.
Reports at the scene indicate the woman received a severe head injury and was transported by ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton where she was expected to be flown by Medevac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley hospital trauma center in Allentown.
Rush Township police are investigating the incident. The Hometown fire company responded to the scene.
