Incidents investigated

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating the following incidents:

• A 51-year-old man from Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, reported someone opened a checking account and a credit card account through Bank of America using his personal information. The checking account was closed by the victim. The victim contacted the Bank of America to inquire about the credit card and was advised $3,800 was withdrawn from the card. The victim was then advised to contact police and report the incident. Bank of America will be investigating the incident, troopers noted.

• On March 6 at 4:48 p.m. troopers were dispatched to 1980 Route 209, in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for a theft of a trailer. During the course of the investigation it was determined that a black 7- x 12-foot utility trailer was parked with a for sale sign on it at a pawnshop. It is believed the trailer was stolen on March 6. The trailer is owned by a 63-year-old man from Brodheadsville.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-646-2271.

• On March 15 at 4:17 p.m. an argument occurred at 1201 Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, that escalated into a physical altercation. Troopers said Nicholas Spearko, 24, of Brodheadsville, punched a 26-year-old Brodheadsville man, in the right side of the head causing a minor injury.

As a result both men were charged with harassment - physical contact.

• Michale J. Tamraz, 61, of Saylorsburg, has been charged with a dog law violation for an incident on March 9 at 3:21 p.m. in the 200 block of Krystal Court, in Ross Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Tamraz failed to keep his dog at all times confined within the premises of his property in violation of the state dog law.
