Lehighton’s Aaliyah Fisher recently announced she would continue her academic and athletic careers at Arcadia University, where she will ply basketball. Arcadia is an NCAA Division 3 school located in Glenside, PA.
Fisher has spent four years on the varsity squad for the Indians.
A shooting guard and small forward, Fisher was a Lehigh Valley All-Star, four-year varsity letter, and co-holder of the school record for three pointers in a game.
This past season, Fisher helped Lehighton qualify for the District 11 Class 4A playoffs, knocking off No. 2 seed Northwestern in the quarterfinals.
Fisher averaged 7.64 points per game this past season for the Indians, and knocked down a team-leading 37 threes in 25 games.
The daughter of Paula and James Fisher, Aaliyah will study biology to physical therapy at Arcadia.
