– Palmerton High School graduate Nicole Levandusky tallied 19 points to lead the Xavier University Musketeers to a 77-62 win over No. 5 Clemson in the Mideast Region of the NCAA women’s college playoff tournament, advancing Xavier to the Sweet 16 for the first time. They will face top-seeded Tennessee in Birmingham, AL. Levandusky and her teammates shot 58.5 percent from the field, including 12 of 18 from beyond the three-point arc, winning their 30th game of the season against just two defeats. The former Blue Bomber’s triple with 40 seconds left in the half increased the Musketeers’ lead to 49-27 and the game was never any closer.
