The Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corp. and the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau announce that applications for the spring 2022 round of Hotel Tax Disbursement Allocations are now being accepted. The deadline for the spring 2022 round of hotel tax disbursements is May 2.

Applications are available on the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corporation’s website at https://www.carboncountychamber.org/county-hotel-tax-disbursement-program/ or by stopping by the CCEDC office at 137 South St. in Lehighton. Applications must be submitted to the CCEDC office no later than 4:30 p.m. May 2.

The program is made available through a tax that is collected by local hotels and bed-and-breakfasts in Carbon County.

The PMVB and CCEDC have been providing support to nonprofit organizations for event promotion to bring overnight visitors to Carbon County.

To qualify for funds, an organization must be a nonprofit and must use the funds to create marketing programs that promote tourism in Carbon County.

Acceptable projects are billboards, TV, radio or internet advertising, website design, promotional flyers, etc. that promote tourism in Carbon County.
