Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday at Zion Church, Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.

The fundraising committee will meet on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and preschool board will meet at 7. Valley Christina open house is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. March 10. Zion consistory will meet at 6:30 p.m.

Rush-Ryan Seniors

The Rush-Ryan-Delano Senior Citizens will resume twice monthly meetings starting on March 8. Meetings will be held at Christ U.C.C. Church, Barnesville.

The group meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month beginning at 1 p.m. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.

Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on Feb. 24 with 28 members in attendance. The meeting was opened with the reading “It’s Always You.”

Brenda Zellar and Anthony Zahora were added to the sick list and the group extended a warm welcome back to Joan Ann Garber and Doris Yeager.

The group meets every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Coaldale Complex. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.

Fish bake

Trinity U.C.C. Church, 22 Lafayette St., will have Lenten Dinner available March 4 and 11, 3-5 p.m. or until sellout. Meals are available for eat-in or takeout. Menu includes: Baked haddock, deviled crabcakes, cod fish cake, or chicken fingers, stewed tomatoes, baked potato or French fries, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, dessert and beverage.

Calvary Lewistown

Pastor Ralph Saunders will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church, Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. and evening service at 6:30 p.m. with message by Adam P. Heisler.

Lenten service on March 9: 7:15 p.m. hymn sing followed by service at 7:30 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, Drehersville. March 16 Lenten service will be at Calvary UMC, Lewistown Valley.

American Primitive

There will be no Sunday school until further notice.
