State police at Stroudsburg are looking for a convicted sex offender for failure to register as required by Megan’s Law.

Troopers said Gary Wilgus, 40, last known address in Tobyhanna, is a registered sex offender for aggravated statutory rape in Tennessee. Wilgus has prior convictions for failing to register as a sex offender along with an active arrest warrant issued by Monroe County court for failure to appear on a Stroud Area Regional police Megan’s Law violation.

He is described as being 6 feet, 5 inches tall with brown hair, hazel eyes and weighs about 250 pounds.

Anyone with information of his whereabouts is asked to call troopers at 570-619-6800.
