At least three people were injured Monday afternoon in a crash along Route 443 in Mahoning Township. Two young children were among those injured.

The crash occurred just after 4 p.m. as a woman was traveling east and failed to stop behind a pickup truck which had stopped to make a left turn onto Seneca Drive.

The woman slammed into the rear of the truck. Route 443 was closed for an hour.

Mahoning Township police are investigating the incident. The victims were treated at the scene by members of the Mahoning Valley ambulance and Lehighton paramedics. The Mahoning Valley fire company also responded.
