A charitable organization and students from a local Catholic school made donations of $6,212 to the Panther Valley Public Library during a program held Thursday at the school.

Representatives of the First Federal Charitable Foundation, Hazleton, presented Nancy Pascoe, chairperson of the Panther Valley Renaissance Library Task Force, a check for $5,000.

Students and faculty members of Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, added $1,212 to the total, their funds having been generated through a reading program the students conducted recently.
