– Weatherly sophomore Amy Sandt reaches the 1,000-point mark in the Wreckers’ season-finale at Cardinal Brennan. Playing in just her 49th varsity game, Sandt needs just three points to place her name alongside the likes of former WHS standout Sue Sernak as one of the most prolific scorers in school history. Sandt doesn’t waste any time, reaching the milestone with a shot in the opening quarter, and finishes the game with 17 points, giving her 1,014 for her two-year career and placing her well within reach of Sernak, Weatherly’s all-time scoring queen with 1,888.
