Who is Alex Khalil? Alexandria - please call her Alex, is a full-time employee, a single mom who raised a dyslexic child, an activist, a daughter of immigrants, a borough council member and a Democrat.

But, mostly she is like you and me, loves Pennsylvania and what keeps her up at night are the same things that keep you up … affordable health care, property taxes, costs of prescription medicine, jobs, how to put nutritional food on our families’ tables and the direction our country is going when it comes to child care, manufacturing jobs here in Pennsylvania, education, prescription drug costs, the environment and women’s right to choose.

Why does this matter? It matters because when one Pennsylvanian is suffering, we all suffer.

It’s time we go out and talk to each other and come up with solutions that work for everyone, not just the top earners.
