Bob Huston, vice president of the Strick Corporation, yesterday announced the firm’s Mahoning Township plant will be closing within 60 to 120 days.
Huston said the 40 employees of the company were offered positions in other Pennsylvania plants that the company has, including those in Berwick, Danville and Hughesville.
Employees of the firm fabricate truck trailers in Mahoning.
Huston said company officials looked at its manufacturing program and determined relocating the fabrication process within its assembly plants would be cost-effective.
