– Some clutch foul shooting in the final period by Panther Valley sealed its 46-34 win over Tamaqua in a Schuylkill League Division 1 battle on the Panthers’ home court. The Panthers led by five, 34-29, entering the final stanza, and hit 8 of 13 shots from the charity stripe to prevent the Blue Raiders from sneaking back into the game. Chris Ligenza paced the winners with 12 points while Tracey Fertally and Lisa Lettera added 10 points apiece. Holly Bauzon led the Raiders with nine points.
