Schuylkill County poll workers are getting a pay raise.
Commissioners approved the $10 increase for the judge of elections, majority inspector, minority inspector, clerk 1, clerk 2 and constable. The election board previously approved the requests, Commissioners’ Chairman Barron “Boots” Hetherington said.
The amounts are $160 plus mileage to deliver machines to the Schuylkill Transportation Center for the judge of elections, and $140 for the majority inspector and $120 for the other workers mentioned.
A contract was awarded to NPC Integrated Print & Digital Solutions for printing election day ballots and the printing and mailing of absentee and mail-in ballots for the 2022 primary and general elections. Cost varies from 22 cents to 26 cents. The production and mailing of the ballot packet is $1.22 each.
