State police at Schuylkill Haven report on the following:

• Police are investigating an act of criminal mischief at a Schuylkill County site.

Troopers said on Feb. 2 someone drove a GMC pickup into a Reading Anthracite gate near Bunting and Shober streets, in Branch Township, causing the lock and chain to break off. No damage estimate was given.

• A Schuylkill County woman is facing charges.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Karrie Kerestus, 46, of New Ringgold, rented a 20x20-foot canopy from Ark Rentals, 1180 Route 61, West Brunswick Township, Orwigsburg, on Aug. 20, 2021, and failed to return it. The replacement cost of the canopy was set at $1,483.82.

Kerestus was charged theft and related counts.
