State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a four-vehicle crash at 7:02 a.m. on Feb. 2 along Route 183 in Cressona borough, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Barry J. Berger, 66, of Orwigsburg, was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion and entering the southbound lane of 183 from a private driveway when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic. A 2020 Chevrolet Silverado truck, driven by Gerald P. Webber, 41, of Schuylkill Haven, who was southbound, struck the Fusion. The Fusion then struck a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 truck driven by Eric S. Watral, 40, of Auburn, and then a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Janice L. Kearse, 43, of West Lawn, Berks County, who were both stopped in the northbound lane. After impact with the Fusion the Silverado went off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole.

The Fusion, Silverado and Ram were towed. Webber suffered a minor injury and was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital East - Pottsville.

Troopers cited Berger for the crash.
