A car crossed the center line and crashed into a tractor-trailer on Interchange Road along Route 209 in Franklin Township this morning. Devin Cawley of Brodheadsville, driving a 2013 Volkswagen, was traveling south on 209 at 7:59 a.m. when he hit a 2005 Kenworth tractor-trailer that was traveling northbound. John Salemno Jr. of Sellersville was driving the truck. The VW sustained severe damage, and was towed from the scene. The truck sustained moderate damage. Police said charges are pending against Cawley. Pennsylvania State Police, along with Franklin Township Fire Police and Towamensing Township Fire Police, were on scene. TERRY AHNER/TIMES NEWS
