State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of a catalytic converter from a vehicle in Ryan Township.

On Jan. 20 a 62-year-old man from Barnesville Drive, Barnesville, reported the catalytic converter on his 1999 Jeep was stolen. The Jeep was parked in a small lot a short distance from the victim’s residence. The theft occurred sometime between Jan. 8 at 9 p.m. and Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. The man said he noticed the exhaust system hanging from the vehicle. The converter is valued at $150.
