State police at Lehighton said a teen driver is facing a driving under the influence charge.

Troopers said on Jan. 13 at 12:18 a.m. troopers stopped a 2016 Volkswagen Golf along Route 209 at Gilbert Road, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for traffic violations. The driver, a 17-year-old male from Effort, was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest.
