State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the reported theft of a large amount of cash from a Schuylkill Count Legion post.

Troopers said they are investigating a theft at the American Legion Post 468, in Tower City. Troopers said the theft occurred during the fiscal year of 2019. The missing cash was set at $28,267.96. Troopers did not give any other information concerning the incident.

Troopers also reported on a theft of services incident. Troopers said a 37-year-old male from Pine Grove reported on Dec. 30, 2021, he gave the Dr. Chimney firm $1,090 to perform chimney maintenance in September 2021. The job was never started, troopers said.

The investigation is continuing.
