Carbon County has updated its masking policy for employees and visitors in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19.
The county commissioners announced the change on Wednesday afternoon, saying that all employees and visitors who enter any county-owned or leased building are required to wear a mask, effectively immediately.
In addition, masks must be worn by everyone who travels in common areas, including hallways, elevators, restrooms and stairways.
Employees should continue to wear their mask when dealing with the public, and if they cannot safely social distance from their co-workers in the offices in which they work.
Additional changes to the COVID-19 testing policy is also being updated for employees at this time.
Carbon County has seen a growing number of cases and officials hope to slow the spread.
