A garbage disposal issue remains in limbo in Towamensing Township.
Supervisors on Monday briefly discussed the matter involving garbage disposal on Kennetta Lane, a private road owned by Kenneth George.
The board is waiting for the letter from township solicitor Tom Nanovic.
At its end-of-year meeting last week, the board discussed the current situation.
Supervisor/roadmaster Scott Mosier noted at that time that aside from road conditions and brush, the steepness of the road was causing the garbage trucks to bottom out during garbage collection.
Board members discussed the possibility of implementing a dumpster to reduce difficulties with the garbage trucks.
Mosier noted the possibility of constructing a cul-de-sac to help the garbage trucks turn around easier. However, Chairman Guy Seifert noted legal concerns surrounding the idea.
Instead, Seifert suggested holding a series of workshops to work out a solution with residents.
The board at that time decided to have Nanovic write a letter organizing these workshops.
Residents should also expect a phone call regarding these workshops.
They plan to potentially host separate workshops regarding Clearview Drive and Teaberry Lane.
