Thorpe’s Hogarty will play soccer at Chatham

Jim Thorpe senior Kelli Hogarty has announced her plans to attend Chatham University to continue her academic and soccer careers.

Hogarty was a four-year member of the Olympians soccer team and a two-time captain.

She was a key member of a Jim Thorpe defense that recorded seven shutouts and allowed just 1.05 goals a game this season. The Olympians posted a 10-8-1 record and qualified for the District 11 Class 2A playoffs.

Despite playing defense throughout her career, Hogarty still managed to score 10 goals and add eight assists.

The daughter of Kendra and Thomas Hogarty, Kelli plans on majoring in Athletic Training at Chatham, an NCAA Division 3 school located in Pittsburgh.
