Miss Lynn Hammond of Lehighton has been named manager of the former Navigation Building apartment complex in Jim Thorpe. A Jim Thorpe man, Steve Duffy, is the structure’s custodial superintendent.

The 27-unit complex was formally dedicated Friday with the honor of cutting the ribbon going to Mrs. Margaret Kuhla Watkins, the first of the 16 apartment dwellers signed up to date.

The building, owned by Tyco Associates of New York, is one of several housing projects of the Carbon County Housing Authority and was recently renovated at a cost of $887,000, the rehabilitation work having been overseen by construction contractor Joseph Maradeo, Nesquehoning.
