Palmerton Area School Board representative Peter Blynn was elected chairman of the Carbon County Vocational-Technical School Operating Committee last night.

Joining Blynn in directing the committee’s operations for the 1972-73 school year will be Paul Kresge of the Lehighton Area School Board, vice chairman; Larence Erdman of the Weatherly Area School Board, secretary; and Louise Reitz of Jim Thorpe, who will handle the assistant secretary’s post.

In business matters, the board approved a $5,400 contract with Michael Enterprises, Philadelphia, to install a security alarm system in the school, and approved a cooperative purchasing agreement with the Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21.
