$2,000 reward for information on elk killing

There is a $2,000 reward for information about the intentional killing of an elk at the Lehigh Valley Zoo.

Lehigh Valley Crime Stoppers have reminded the public that they are offering the cash reward for Information leading to the arrest of the person or people who committed the crime.

The elk was found dead by Lehigh Valley Zoo staff on Dec. 4, inside a fenced in area. State Police at Bethlehem are investigating.

Anyone having information relative to this crime or that may lead to the arrest of this individual is encouraged to call State Police at Bethlehem at 610-861-2026 and ask for Trooper Bellesfield.

They can also call Lehigh Valley Crime Stoppers toll-free number, 1-800-426-TIPS.

Callers do not have to give their name, and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
