HANOVER, Pa. (AP) - An autopsy is scheduled Monday on a veteran central Pennsylvania firefighter who died while responding to a blaze over the weekend.
The (Hanover) Evening Sun (http://bit.ly/1RHE1FV ) reports that 68-year-old Earl Shoemaker was driving the Hanover Fire Department's Air 46 unit when the truck went off the road and into a field at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday.The York County coroner's office said he was pronounced dead about an hour later at Hanover Hospital.Officials said Shoemaker had been a volunteer member of Eagle Fire Company number two with the Hanover department for more than four decades.---Information from: The Evening Sun,
