It was a festive start to the month of December for one Palmerton resident.
The lucky gal was Carolyn Miller, who received a gift from the Palmerton Concourse Club delivered with her Meals on Wheels.
Miller was bestowed the gift on Wednesday morning courtesy of Vinita Horinko, a Concourse Club member/chairperson of the Meals on Wheels gift committee, along with Marge Porambo, Concourse Club member/Meals on Wheels board member.
The club teamed up with Meals on Wheels to deliver the gifts to their clients, Porambo said.
Horinko said a total of 11 gifts were distributed.
Miller was clearly impressed with the gift made by the Concourse Club: A starfish designed with buttons on a canvas to be hung on a wall or a small easel.
“It’s very pretty,” Miller said. “Every year they always make a beautiful gift.”
