Carbon and Tamaqua area families can register to receive Toys for Tots gifts this holiday season.

Registration will be held Friday and Saturday, as well as Dec. 10 and 11 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Salem Bible Fellowship Church, 1105 Frederick’s Grove Road, Lehighton.

No phone calls will be accepted, and a parent or legal guardian must attend a registration session.

The program is open to families from Carbon County, and Tamaqua families who did not register with the Salvation Army. The age limit is 14 years old, and 16 for children with disabilities.

Only parents or legal guardians - with proof of guardianship - are eligible to register. They must have a photo ID showing a Carbon County residence, and a birth certificate for each child.

Parents and guardians must bring proof of public assistance or unemployment, or a letter from their church in order to register.

Only one parent or guardian will be allowed in the building, and masks are required.
