Tamaqua police reported a 16-year-old pedestrian was struck Saturday afternoon at the intersection of East Broad and Laurel streets.

The youth was flown from the scene by a Medevac helicopter to a Lehigh Valley area trauma center.

No information was available about the driver or the vehicle who hit the teen.
