Lansford shows off Hometown Heroes

Nathan Krajcirik, commander of the Lansford American Legion Post, hangs Hometown Hero banners along Ridge Street in the borough on Tuesday. He said the Legion has begun a Hometown Heroes project in which banners are hung honoring past and present military members. The Hometown Heroes banner program also exists in Tamaqua, Summit Hill and numerous other local communities. Krajcirik said the program is being administered through the Legion and about 50 banners are already in the process of being installed.
