The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, but be advised that road work schedules may change as needed based on the weather:

Lehigh County

• Upper Macungie, South Whitehall Township, City of Allentown: Route 22 construction between I-78 and 15th Street, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.

• Whitehall Township: Route 22 milling and paving between 15th Street and Route 145/MacArthur Road, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.

• Salisbury Township/Allentown: I-78 inspection between Exit 55 and Exit 57 (Lehigh Street), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.

• Whitehall Township: Lehigh Street inspection between Route 145 (MacArthur Road) and Northampton County Line, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.

• City of Allentown: I-78 inspection between Exit 57 and Exit 60 (Route 309), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

• Washington Township: Mountain Road brush cutting between Brown Street and Route 873, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Whitehall: Route 22 litter removal between I-78 and Airport Road, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Salisbury: Route 145 crack sealing between Route 309 and Tilghman Street, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Weisenberg Township: I-78 highway beautification between Exit 45 and Exit 49 (Route 100), 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Northampton County

• Lower Nazareth Township: construction at Route 33/Route 248 and Route 33/Hecktown Road Interchanges, ramps will be closed and detoured at both interchanges for pavement rehabilitation work, detours will be 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Monday to Thursday. Details are below for any detours and closures:

Monday: Route 248 to Route 33 South

Tuesday: Route 33 South to Route 248

Wednesday: Route 33 North to Route 248

Thursday: Route 248 to Route 33 North

Route 33/PA 248 Interchange:

• Route 248 to Route 33 South: Use Route 248 North to Main Street (Tatamy) Exit to Route 248 South

• Route 33 North to Route 248: Continue on Route 248 North to Main Street (Tatamy) to Route 33 South to Route 248

• Route 33 South to Route 248: Continue on Route 33 South to Hecktown Road Exit to Route 33 North to Route 248

• Route 248 to Route 33 North: Use Route 248 Ramp to Route 33 South to Hecktown Road Exit to Route 33 North

Route 33/Hecktown Road Interchange:

• Hecktown Road to Route 33 South: Use Hecktown Ramp to Route 33 North to Route 248 Exit to Route 33 South

• Route 33 South to Hecktown Road: Continue on Route 33 South to Route 22 Interchange to Route 33 North Exit to Hecktown Road

• Route 33 North to Hecktown Road: Continue on Route 33 North to Route 248 Exit to Route 33 South to Hecktown Road

• Hecktown Road to Route 33 North: Use Hecktown Road Ramp to Route 33 South to Route 22 Interchange to Route 33 North Exit

• City of Easton, Route 33 inspection between Freemansburg Ave and I-78, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday through Nov. 9.

• Lehigh Township, Route 248 drainage between Timberline Road and Carbon County line, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Schuylkill County

• Frackville Borough, I-81 at Exit 124 (Route 61) bridge repair from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Monday and running through Nov. 18.

• Frailey Township, I-81 pothole patching between Exit 107 (Route 209) and Exit 112 (Route 25), 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

• Porter Township, Route 209 pothole patching between Dauphin County Line and Route 325, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• City of Pottsville, Route 61 intersections: As part of the ongoing Route 61 Signals Project, left turns will be restriction at the intersections of Route 61/Route 209 to facilitate construction work. Detour will utilize Norwegian Street to Center Street. This restriction will take place from Monday to Nov 22.
