The Panther Valley Senior Center has announced menu for the week of Nov. 1-5 is:
Monday: No meal
Tuesday: Stuffed pepper, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, Jello or antipasto salad
Wednesday: Baked ham, sweet potatoes, beets, pineapple, cookie or turkey pita
Thursday: Breaded chicken, buttered noodles, vegetable blend, baked apples or crispy chicken Salad
Friday: Corn chowder, pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw, pudding or egg salad sandwich
The center also announced upcoming events:
Game Day on Nov. 1 at 10 a.m.; Bingo on Nov. 2 at 10:45 a.m.; Horse racing on Nov. 3 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Nov. 4 at 10:45 a.m.; Balloon Tennis on Nov. 5 at 11 a.m.
Speaker Ryan Lohman from Compassionate Care Hospice on Nov. 8 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Nov. 9 at 10:45 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Nov. 10 at 11 a.m.; Center Closed on Nov. 11 in honor of Veteran’s Day; Honor our Veteran’s on Nov. 12 at 11 a.m.

Nesquehoning Historical Society
The Nesquehoning Historical Society has announced the following upcoming events at the museum. The building is located at 157 W. Railroad St., in Nesquehoning.
• Nov. 6: The museum is open to the public free of charge from 9 a.m. until noon.
• Nov. 8: The Historical Society is hosting a presentation by local author and historian Vince Hydro. The presentation will begin at 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
• Nov. 11: There will be a membership meeting at which time the winners of the ticket raffle will be announced. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
Anyone willing to donate any artifacts or items is asked to bring the items to a meeting or contact any member of the society. Nesquehoning Historical Society has a Facebook page.
Trunk or treat
St Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley in Summit Hill is holding its annual trunk or treat and Oktoberfest on Oct. 30.
Trunk or treat will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Oktoberfest will take place following 4 p.m. Mass at the pavilion pole building. Food and nonalcoholic beverages will be available.
