A 38-year-old Lehighton man reported to state police at the Lehighton barracks at 4:28 a.m. Oct. 17 that he was physically assaulted with a weapon along Jamestown Drive in Mahoning Township.

Police said they were told the incident happened in a wooded area near the residence on scene. The victim told police he could identify the suspect.

The matted is pending further investigation.
