Weissport looks to convert tree trunks into art in the borough park

Over the summer, Weissport Borough Council removed several trees from the borough park and left the trunks in place, with plans on having a chain saw artist turn two of them into works of art for the park.

Matthew Dietrich, owner of M Plus F Creations of Pennsburg, submitted an estimate for $4,000 for two pieces of artwork to be created. Council members will decide on the final designs for the works and will make a final decision at one of the November meetings.

Their work can be seen on their Facebook page, facebook.com/MplusFcreations/.
