The Penn State Master Gardeners of Monroe County want to help you plan and prepare your garden to start growing.
On Saturday, March 23, an educational program entitled "How Does Your Garden Grow" will be held at the Monroe County Public Safety Center, 100 Gypsum Road, Stroudsburg. The event will start at 9 a.m., with registration, morning refreshments and exhibits on gardening before the workshops begin.Participants will be able to choose from workshops related to soil testing, seed starting, beginning composting, square foot gardening, landscape design, or the basics of home canning. Also, bring your presto gauge canner lid for free testing.Due to the limited space for the classes, registration is required by Friday, March 15. There is a fee for the program, which includes workshop, printed materials, and morning refreshments. If space permits, walk-ins may be accepted.Registration can be done online. Visit
