State police at Fern Ridge
State police at Fern Ridge report on the following incidents:
• A 36-year-old woman from Newark, New Jersey, was cited by state police at Fern Ridge with harassment by physical contact after an incident at 1:47 a.m. Aug. 1 along Graeber Court in Chestnuthill Township.
Police said the victim is a 46-year-old Saylorsburg woman who told them the New Jersey woman struck her multiple times in the face.
• A 43-year-old Saylorsburg woman was cited with harassment by physical contact following an incident at 5:04 p.m. Sept. 7 along Silver Valley Road in Chestnuthill Township.
Police said she struck a 41-year old Saylorsburg man in the face with an open hand.
• Police said Vincent Bosco, 21, of Effort, was cited for criminal mischief after an incident at 9:40 a.m. Sept. 1 at 402 Eastbrook Road in Chestnuthill Township.
Police said they were called there for an inactive dispute. A woman said, Bosco, who she identified as her ex-boyfriend, left the scene after an argument and threw an object and smashed the rear window of her 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe.
The estimated damages are $300.
• A 65-year-old Saylorsburg woman is the victim of a theft by deception incident in which someone tried to obtain unemployment compensation benefits by using the victim’s identity.
Police said the victim was notified at 11:47 a.m. Aug. 10 by the unemployment office that someone attempted to open a claim in the victim’s name.
• Police are investigating a scattering rubbish incident that happened between 11 p.m. Sept. 1 and 10 a.m. Sept. 2.
An 68-year-old Albrightsville man told police someone left a small amount of broken glass on his property before fleeing the scene.
• Police are investigating a theft by deception/credit card-ATM card case in which an unidentified man used unauthorized credit cards to purchase $2,157 worth of gas at a Chestnuthill service station.
Police said the victim is Bright Star Fuel, 1536 Route 209, Brodheadsville.
The theft was reported at 3:28 p.m. Aug. 20.
