A 55-year-old Ashland woman is facing driving under the influence of alcohol charges after state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks were summoned to an incident at 5:20 p.m. Aug. 24 on East Maple Avenue, Norwegian Township.

Police said they were dispatched there for a report of a visibly intoxicated person in public and discovered the woman drove to that location while under the influence of alcohol.
