The North and Middle Ward Playground Association will host Dance in the Playground from 7-9:45 p.m. on Thursday.

DJ John from The Strand in McAdoo will be providing the music.

“It’s geared more for children, but all ages can come and enjoy the music,” said Brandon Brode, who is spearheading many playground events with his wife, Elizabeth.

“I kind of helped on the back burner for years with maintenance things. Everyone kind of quit over the years. We live across the street and our kids enjoy the playground, so we wanted to put some time and effort into it.”

Admission is free. The concession stand will sell hot dogs, snacks and refreshments.
