A 68-year-old Berks County man died in a motorcycle crash Sunday in Port Clinton.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the man from Kutztown, whose name was not released, died when he drove his 2008 Harley Davidson into the path of a 2021 Ford-750 driven by a 36-year old Levittown man.

The 6:18 p.m. incident happened at Route 61 and Blue Mountain Drive as the motorcyclist was attempting to make a left turn onto Route 61 South and lost control after hitting the Ford.

A deputy coroner was called to the scene at 6:32 p.m. after the Berks County Communications Center called the Schuylkill County Communications Center.

Responding to the scene were the Tilden Township Police, Hamburg EMS, Port Clinton Community Fire Department and the Union Fire Company, police said. Fire police from Schuylkill Haven and the Deer Lake Fire Department responded to the scene, the Schuylkill Communications Center said.
