A stabbing occurred on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the 6800 block of Interchange Road in Towamensing Township.

The victim was treated at the scene by the Palmerton ambulance and Lehighton paramedic units and then transported to an area trauma center.

One woman was taken into custody.

Troopers from the Lehighton barracks of the Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
