Jim Thorpe resident John P. Bretzik, left, was honored with a citation from the House of Representatives of Pennsylvania, which was presented to him by state Rep. Doyle Heffley at a retirement party given in his honor by his family and friends at the Mauch Chunk Rod & Gun Club in Jim Thorpe. Lieutenant Bretzik had served as a correctional officer for the past 26 years at the State Correctional Institute of Frackville, having started there when the prison opened its doors in 1987.
