Schuylkill Chamber to host first Business Forum of year

The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce will host its first business executive forum of the year at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Health and Wellness Center of the Penn State Schuylkill Campus.

“The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce is pleased to partner with Penn State Schuylkill to bring this discussion to the forefront of our business and nonprofit communities,” said Robert S. Carl Jr., president and CEO of the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce.

“The continued collaboration between our education institutes, businesses and nonprofits will only create a stronger workforce for the future of Schuylkill County.”

The sponsor of the Business Executive Forum, Penn State Schuylkill, is one of the oldest Commonwealth campuses of Penn State. The educational experience at Penn State Schuylkill focuses on academic excellence, a broad array of experiential learning opportunities, and community and civic engagement. Penn State Schuylkill is a premier member of the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce.

The keynote speaker is David Gray, the senior vice president for finance and business at The Pennsylvania State University. Gray also serves on the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry. The topic of Wednesday’s discussion will be “May You Live in Interesting Times: Public Higher Education in the 2020s.”

This Business Executive Forum is an exclusive luncheon held for visionary, premier and executive members of the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce.
