The Carbon County Republican Committee will nominate a replacement candidate for George Sabol for Nesquehoning Borough Council for the Nov 2 Municipal Election ballot.

Sabol resigned last month. His two-year term will expire December of 2023.

Interested people are asked to submit a short letter of interest to Chairman Lee Becker at leekay@ptd.net or by U.S. mail at P.O. Box 266, Lehighton, PA 18235 no later than Aug. 16.

The letter should include a return telephone number, how long the candidate has lived in Nesquehoning Borough, how long the candidate has been a registered Republican, and if selected his/her top three goals for Nesquehoning.
