Police say a man was stabbed in the chest during an armed robbery in Monroe County Thursday night.
The alleged robbery occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the 7400 block of Ventnor Drive in Coolbaugh Township, according to a news release from Pocono Mountain Regional Police.
That address is located in the A Pocono Country Place Community.
The victim, a 33-year-old male, said two men wielding a gun and a knife robbed him as he was walking down Ventnor Drive.
He told police the robbers managed to take a chain, a watch and a wedding ring from the man.
Before they walked away, the man with the knife stabbed the victim in the chest, police said.
He was airlifted to Geisinger CMC in Scranton.
The victim described the suspects as black males, one 6-feet-tall and the other 5-foot-8. They were wearing all black clothing.
