Northwestern’s Marissa Christman has been chosen to play on the Lehigh Valley Carpenter Cup softball team.

Christman, who was a sophomore on the Tigers’ team this past season, hit .346 for the Colonial League champions. She had four doubles, two triples, a homer, scored 18 runs and knocked in 28.

The annual Carpenter Cup tournament will begin on Monday at FDR Park in Philadelphia. Lehigh Valley will play 8 a.m. that day against Burlington County.
