Faith Alive Church
Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. At 8:30 a.m. is a contemporary service and at 11 a.m. is the traditional service. In between the two services is Sunday school for all ages (children to adults) There are four options of worship: In the sanctuary, in Leah’s Room (masks required), in the parking lot (FM 104.3) or Faith Alive Facebook Live.

June 19: from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ladies luncheon with worship, presentation, lunch and fellowship. Must sign up by June 13. Call the office for details.
June 20: 8:30 and 11 a.m. is Dads & Grads Sunday
June 27: 11 a.m. will hold one combined service. Sunday school for all ages will be at 9:45 a.m.
June 21-25: VBS, Destination Dig for ages 4-12 years old. Dinner 4:45-5:45 p.m. and classes, crafts, singing and fun from 6-8:30 p.m. Call the office to sign up your child. All children welcome.

June 26: 6-8 p.m. Dorney Park Trip
June 27: Noon, youth group fundraiser, barbecue chicken picnic held in the church pavilion. Tickets for sale to June 20. For information, contact Jessica at 570-982-4062.
June Mission of the Month is Care Net of Carbon County. This awesome organization is in our county to help many young people who don’t have positive role models or haven’t been taught life skills. They offer educational programs on pregnancy, fetal development, options associated with pregnancy, life skills, relationship issues and much more. They offer free pregnancy tests, baby clothing, baby furniture, diapers and formula.

Historical society
The meeting of the Palmerton Historical Society scheduled for June 14 has been canceled.
JUCC
Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville) will hold Sunday worship service at 9 a.m. Weather permitting, services will be held in the church grove. Bring your lawn chair. You can also remain in your vehicle and park in the grove and listen on 95.5 FM. Services can also be seen on Facebook Live and the church website.
Supply Pastor Don Quayle will lead the worship.
Flea market
A two-day flea market will be held at Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Trachsville, June 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and June 12 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be held in the church grove rain or shine. Refreshments will be available to purchase.
Exercise classes
Beginner Qigong Class (similar to Tai Chi) to learn ancient Chinese exercises will be held Mondays at 11 a.m. in the Palmerton Borough Park weather permitting. This is suitable for all skill levels. Learn slow, smooth, gentle flowing movements set to music. For information, contact Kiki Peppard at 570-460-8485.
Palmerton Car Show
The Palmerton Car Show will be held in the Palmerton Borough Park June 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is hosted by the Pace-Maker Association and will be held rain or shine.
Holy Trinity Lutheran
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton, will hold worship on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. If you plan to attend, call the church office at 610-826-2525. If you are unable to attend in person, you may join on Zoom. This week is the children’s service. Communion will be held. Please remember to bring food items for the CACPAC food pantry.
Bible study is held on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall.
Thrift shop
The Holy Trinity thrift shop at 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton, is open every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. They have a selection of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing. They also have housewares, books and much more.
Park concert
The Palmerton Band will kick off the Summer Concert Series in the Palmerton Borough Park. The concert will be held June 13 from 7-8:30 p.m. This concert is sponsored by St. Patrick’s Sound Wedding DJ/MC. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy this free concert. In case of inclement weather the concert will be canceled.
PMPA
The first special event at the Palmerton Pool will be Kickoff to Summer Celebration on June 13. The pool will open at 1 p.m. Come and join in the fun.
Kids for the Community
Kids for the Community will hold a rock painting event in the Palmerton Borough Park at 5:30 p.m. June 15 at 5:30 p.m. The event Rock painting for Caleb’s Garden is in honor of the 4-year-old from Louisiana who passed away. His mother has a rock garden in his honor. Kids for the Community will paint some and ship them off to add to his garden.
