Eleven first-time offenders were placed in Carbon County’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program last week by Judge Joseph J. Matika on driving under the influence and related charges.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program, their record will be wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.

All were placed for a year and ordered to render 50 hours of community service, pay court costs of about $1,000, pay a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program, follow any recommendation of their drug and alcohol evaluation and other conditions.

Placed were:

Michael Christopher Bachman, 39, of Saylorsburg, was arrested on Jan. 9 by state police at Lehighton along Route 248 in East Penn Township.

He was assessed $600 for the cost of the program and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Joleen Marie Farrell, 31, of Lehighton, was arrested on Oct. 18, 2020, by state police at Lehighton along Route 209 in Towamensing Township, for DUI of a controlled substance.

She was assessed $600 and her license was suspended for 60 days.

Juan Gonzalez Garcia, 24, of Hellertown, was arrested on Oct. 4, 2020, by state police at Lehighton along Route 248 at Palmerton.

He was assessed $500 and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Bonnie Jean Hellebrand, 51, of Summit Hill, was arrested on Jan. 7 by state police at Lehighton along Interchange Road in Franklin Township, for DUI of a controlled substance.

She was assessed $600 and her license was suspended for 60 days.

Barry Lee Lower, 22, of Jim Thorpe, was arrested on Jan. 1 by Lehighton police along First Street for DUI of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $600 and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Thomas Michael Mathews, 31, of Allentown, was arrested on Feb. 8, by state police at Lehighton along Route 248 at Palmerton, for DUI of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $600 and his license was suspended for 60 days.

John S. Rauscher, 34, of Kirkwood, New York, was arrested on Oct. 14, 2020, by state police at Fern Ridge along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township.

He was assessed $550 and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Dale Lee Roberson, 50, of Lansford, was arrested on Sept. 6, 2020, by Lansford police along Patterson Street for DUI of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $600 and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Joseph Sniscak, 35, of Nesquehoning, was arrested on Sept. 5, 2020, along Patterson Street by Lansford police.

He was assessed $550 and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Raymond Lare Trainor Jr., 18, of Conshohocken, Montgomery County, was arrested on Sept. 12, 2020, by Kidder Township police along Route 940.

He was assessed $450 and his license was suspended for 90 days.

Steton Ronan Weber, 23, of Danielsville, was arrested on Sept. 19, 2020, by state police at Lehighton along Route 248 at Palmerton, for DUI of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $600 and his license was suspended for 60 days.
