Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. At 9 a.m. is a traditional service and 10:30 a.m. is a contemporary service. this will be the last week with these times of worship. Starting in June will be a new expanded schedule: 8:30 a.m. will be a contemporary service, 9:45 a.m. Sunday school, and 11 a.m. a traditional service. They have four options of worship: In the sanctuary, in Leah’s Room (masks required), in the parking lot (FM 104.3), or Faith Alive Facebook Live.

The May Mission of the Month is Bowman Park Camp. “A Small Camp With a Big God.” It is a nondenominational Christian camp located in Bowmanstown. They have served the community since 1891 and have historical connections to the United Methodist Church. Look on their website, www.bowmanparkcamp.com, for updates and camp schedules.

JUCC

Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville) will hold Sunday worship service at 10:30 a.m. Weather permitting, Sunday services will be held in the church grove and will continue that way until further notice. Bring your lawn chairs, dress comfortably, and sit in family units while remaining socially distant. You can also remain in your vehicle and park in the grove so you can see the bandstand and listen on 95.5 FM. Services can also be seen on Facebook Live and the church website.

Supply Pastor Don Quayle will lead the worship.

Palmerton library

The library will be closed Saturday and Monday in observance of Memorial Day.

BWC

Bethany Wesleyan Church, 457 Delaware Ave., holds Sunday worship services at 9 and 10:30 a.m. If you haven’t had a chance to check out their NextGen area, stop by for the 10:30 a.m. service. All are invited.

BWC will be hosting a Summer Fun Series in the Palmerton Borough Park June 11, July 16 and Aug. 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. This is for kids ages 3 years to fifth grade. They will have relevant Bible lessons, fun crafts, cool science experiments, snacks, and games! The rain location is the BWC Palmerton Gym. All children are invited.

Blue Mountain Community Church

Blue Mountain Community Church, 25 Oak St., Palmerton holds in-house Sunday worship services at 8:45 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday services include a live band, children’s programs and child care. You can also watch services via livestream on their home page, media page or Facebook page.

Looking ahead there will be a huge yard sale July 23 and 24.

Palmerton Pool

The Palmerton Pool will not be opening this weekend as anticipated. The opening date will be June 5 at noon.

The pool is located at 1233 N. Third St., Palmerton. For information, visit www.palmertonpool.com or facebook.com/palmertonmemorialpark. Membership tags can be picked up at the pool office on or after opening day.

Basket Bash

St. John’s UCC, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton, will hold a Basket Bash June 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and June 6 from noon to 2 p.m.

Park cleanup

Come help the Kids for the Community as they clean up the Palmerton Borough Park on Sunday at 10 a.m.

Memorial Day

A Memorial Day Parade will be held in Palmerton beginning at 10 a.m. and services will follow in the borough park. Please come out and show your support for our area veterans. In case of bad weather, the events will be canceled.

Living Hope Lighthouse Church

Living Hope Lighthouse Church, 705 N. Third St., Palmerton, invites you to stop by and visit their beautiful Community Prayer Garden. Place any prayer requests you may have in the little box.

Baseball fundraiser

The Palmerton High School Baseball team will hold its second annual Cornhole Tournament to benefit PHS Baseball. The event will be held June 12 beginning at noon at the Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club, 525 Club Road, Palmerton. Community yard sale

The Parryville Volunteer Fire Co. No. 2 is holding a community yard sale in the Palmerton Borough Park in Saturday. The rain date is Sunday.

Bible School
